Join the Axelson Center this fall for our fundraising workshop series. Designed for development staff at small to medium sized organizations, this series of workshops will build your skills and engage a wide array of the different dimensions of fundraising. Development professionals will lend their expertise as we explore grant writing, individual giving, annual appeals, events, online giving and more.

Attend the free first session--a series overview held virtually--to learn actionable strategies for strengthening practice and relationships in all areas of fundraising. At the end of the overview, presenters from each of the topic-specific workshops will give a 5-minute introduction to their session so that you can choose which sessions to attend. You may choose to attend 1 or all of the sessions! (For the best value, attend all sessions)

Who Should Participate Development staff of small to medium nonprofit organization who are looking for deeper dives on the many facets of fundraising.

About the Presenter:  Michelle Bibbs, Consultant, The Alford Group

Michelle has led fundraising programs at cultural institutions, universities and human services agencies and directed public sector grant making programs. Her career includes leadership roles at Goodman Theatre, DuSable Museum of African American History, DePaul University, serving on grant advisory panels for city and state arts agencies across the Midwest, and leading the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs (now DCASE) grant portfolio, awarding nearly $2M annually to over 450 nonprofit organizations and artists. Michelle is former adjunct faculty in the Management Department at Columbia College Chicago and guest lecturer for the Fundraising Capacity Building Institute/Nonprofit Executive Education Program at Kellogg. Michelle is currently a consultant with The Alford Group, a fundraising consulting firm providing campaign feasibility and implementation, strategic planning, development assessment, leadership and interim staffing counsel to nonprofit organizations.
