About this Session: What is networking about and how do you do it well? Ultimately, good networking is about building champions of you and your work within your professional landscape. Building a strong network can help both your career and your organization’s mission, yet often, networking can seem like a frustrating chore instead of purposeful relationship building. This workshop will help participants assess your relationships, analyze your network, and create actionable plans to build advocates to advance your goals.

Key Learnings

  1. Relationship impact – Explore the variety of ways relationships impact your career and organization, and the short-term and long-term view
  2. Relationship types and needs – Evaluate your relationship types and needs, now and in the future, and the connection between personal and professional relationships
  3. Network assessment – Analyze your current relationships and gaps
  4. Action steps – Create specific actions to build Advocates, a Personal Board of Directors, and make networking a habit
