About this Session:

With access to all kinds of technology these days, it can be difficult to determine what is best for your special event to effectively engage guests. Learn best practices and trends from data collected through the more than 2,000 fundraisers Gesture has supported over the past four years. Mobile technology and social media have made it possible to engage donors before, during, and after events and tie them back to your mission in evocative ways. Discover ways to take advantage of technology to make special events more exciting for guests and volunteers alike.

Who Should Participate: Fundraising staff

Susan YatesAbout the Presenter: Dianne Kleber is the national director of sales at Gesture, a fundraising technology company based in Westmont, Illinois. Dianne has always enjoyed being involved with fundraising events. In fact, it was while she was the co-chair of a large gala for a Chicago independent high school two years ago, that she found Gesture and joined the team. Dianne’s favorite part of being a part of the Gesture team is helping nonprofits grow their events to new levels. In 2015, Gesture helped its charity partners raise over $100 million at over 2,000 events!

As a volunteer, Dianne sits on the board of Abide In Me, a nonprofit organization supporting adults with disabilities, she is an outreach volunteer for JDRF and is on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chicago awards luncheon committee.
