Carrying on in a Crisis: The Role of Boards in Moments of Emergency and Opportunity

Noon - 1:30pm

ZOOM Webinar: $50

About this session:   Board service can be meaningful and even enjoyable for many people. But what happens when the organization faces a crisis? Instead of shirking back or avoiding it, crises are moments when nonprofit organizations need their boards to step up and show up more than ever. This session will examine how boards can show up during a crisis to help a nonprofit organization navigate to smoother waters. It’ll cover both proactive and reactive strategies for crises nonprofits may face.

Learning Objectives:
1. Consider ways of preparing your organization for the unexpected
2. Develop strategies for how your organization can handle crisis through communication, clear decision-making, and strong relationships
3. Practice responding to scenarios to strengthen your crisis-navigating muscles as a team and be prepared for future possible unexpected events.

Who Should Participate:  Organization leadership and board members are encouraged to attend as a team!
